Reminds me of when I got my new horn last year. I actually had it delivered to work, so when the delivery guy shows up with this enormous box marked "Yamaha" most of my co-workers followed him over to my desk. After I had explained that no, I hadn't just gotten a snowmobile delivered to the office in it's shipping crate.

Then came the demands to "play us a tune", so I dug around, found the valve oil, oiled 'er up and played some notes.

Just the classics of course,

The A&W Great Root Bear (sic) theme
March of the Royal Grenadiers

that sort of thing. Saved me from having to wait until I got home to try the horn out, and created a whole new kind of respect for me on the part of the rest of the office. Especially when I played a couple of low notes (trying out the compensated 4th valve) just before a cruise ship was leaving port outside the office (Oh my God, it's a mating call!)

Some talk of Molson Golden
and some of Genesee
of Pabst, and Schlitz, and Olands
and such great beers as these
but of all the world's great lagers
there' none which can compare
to that brown disgusting vile filth
they call the Moosehead Ale

(sung to the tune of the Royal Grenadiers)
