Thank you for all the advice already given... but I've been doing my part in researching some of the tubas and sights recommended. I have just started my research so I really don't know what I am doing yet, but I think that I should be sticking with the BBb tuba, at least through high school, but the companies I have in mind right now are St. Petersburg (a lot of discussion there), Cerveny, Miraphone, Weril, and I have heard a few good things about Yamaha and rented a 3-piston BBb from the for the school year and liked it, but I don't think it was very top of the line. I would apprecitate some constructive comments if there are any to be given. thanks,
