I also (on advice from my teacher) use linkage oil on the pivot points for the linkage. I use hetman in a squeeze bottle with a metal pinpoint oiling tube. Of course, I'm doing this on a 30 year old Mirafone with the S linkages. I don't know what linkage the Yamaha has, or if you need to oil the linkage on a ball and socket rig.
