Sounds like a 'High Pitch' horn.
There used to be two tuning standards in the US: low pitch which (back sometime before the late '30s when the King catalog stated that all 'low' pitch horns were built to A=440) was A=435 (making horns easily tunable to A=440) and high pitch which was significantly higher A=457?. Many horns had either extra slides, and the Yorks had a patented extra donought of tubing on the main slide which could be set one way for low pitch and another way for high pitch -- and the valve tuning slides all had marks where they should be pulled out for low pitch.
