You have a couple of options

1) If you're the conscientious type and don't feel the airlines make enough money as it is, etc. then they will charge you $75 for your extra bag. Skycap's NEVER weigh anything so you won't have to worry about that issue as long as you don't check in at the ticket counter. AXIOM: Never check in at the ticket counter if you are trying to pull off a scam. Always use the Skycaps for luggage and the gate personnel as check-in. (I am an American Airlines Advantage Platinum member - trust me on this one!)

2) If you feel that you've already paid enough.... then check your two tubas and suitcase at the curb (you're allowed three bags period - checked or carry-on) and have somebody else walk inside with your carry-on bag. No one will ever know but you.
