Sorry to hear you're hurtin' with the sousa...I play mine sitting most of the time... But I'll stick out marching with the horn just to lay down some low notes on Main St. I do hope you have a nice concert horn so you can enjoy indoor playing in a normal and comfortable position. The chair is nice for sit down music practice during the marching season, but year-roung sousa use should not occur in concert bands. Best of luck to you in keeping sousa shoulder and back pain to a minimum and the fun level and musicianship to the max. Good Skill and I hope you have a great Spring season.
