Dan, You have plenty of teeth...I would not worry about the loss of one wisdom tooth, or a molar, particularly so far in the back. You should be able to articulate as always.

Case in point: I play in a fraternal band where the BBb tuba player has NO teeth, zilch, zip, nada, zero. It grates on my nerves something terrible as his articulation stinks...doesn't seem to bother his ego any at all. He really thinks he is the grandest at the ball.

I think it does not help a bit that he plays an old king bell-front tuba and thereby cannot hear as well as what everyone else hears spewing from that horn.

Just be mindful of developing a dry socket, and follow the dentist's instructions to the letter and you should be just as fine a before but not better.

Do you play a bell-front tuba????
