Have you ever played an Olds?
I had both sizes of Kings, the Conn 6 size valve trombone, even Couesnon...tried out Getzen, Yamaha, Jupiter, Blessing.
I will not sell my personal (California) Olds "pro" model, as it is a delight to play.
' works fine with anything between a 6-1/2AL and a 12C...
I'm pretty sure I saw something like "reasonably priced" in the post. No Holton Superbone (junky, but sought-after) go for less than $1200 that I've seen.
Vincent Bach...valve trombones?...I suppose they could be viewed to be as good as their flugelhorns and piccolo trumpets (yawn) - certainly no prize, and certainly no bargain.
