I pay about 4X the % of taxes compared to what my Dad paid, but unlike him I have to lock the doors to my house and I can only send my kids to ONE "OK-acceptable" public high school (in this city of a million folks) - because ALL the rest of the public high schools are absolute disasters.
I would like to see malfeasance curbed before I send in any more of my $$$$$$. Music teachers will survive somehow. They (including my grandmother - a piano teacher... c. 1882 - 1964) seemed to survive with very little (if any) gubmunt munie in FAR bleaker times than these current gravy days.
