For auditioning, I would say do something fun and flashy. I believe when I audtioned I played one of the Tubatunes by Frackenpohl. It is unaccompanied and has many different sections throughout the piece (rags, marches, classical, jazz, etc.). Maybe something serious as well. Have fun and sell yourself as well as your playing.

The experience was great. An incredible learning experience. Having to memorize and then perform the same show everyday will give you an idea about how hard it is to keep up the excitment level for very performence.

They always bring in top talent. I did it in the summer of 96 and was able to work with: Allen Vizzutti, Arturo Sandoval, Joe Williams, and many others.

Of course after work, there is Pleasure Island and I believe it costs $5.00 at a local bar to fill anything with handle. A gallon milk carton was always a great solution!

Good luck,

Bryan
