No. The instrument, regardless of what it is made of, is copper-flashed (lightly copper-plated), then silver-plated, and silver is all that will be visible, unless the plating was faulty. Copper-flashing plates over the lead solder where the instrument was assembled. Silver will not adhere to lead, but copper will very well, and silver will adhere very well to copper. Silver can start to appear pinkish as it tarnishes. A light polishing with a fine silver polish will remove that. Use a silver polish with a good tarnish preventative such as Tarni-shield from 3M, and it will stay cleaner-looking longer.
