I don't think it matters too much. There are obviously some severe cases that really do hinder the playing. You might have problems with air leaking outside of one side of your mouth, though. It depends. Having an offset embouchure isn't odd. Look at, I believe, the emboucher of the principal trumpet playing in Berlin Phil. He looks like he playing off the corner of his mouth and yet his sound on the opening of Mahler 5 is amazing. It depends on your face. The structure of your teeth, lips, jaw, and just your entire mouth goes into setting your embouchure. I would look to just try to put your buzzer where is it comfortable, creates the best sound, and creates a flat surface. Good Luck!
