I play a cerveny 681, the only real tuba i've played. I dont' count the jr high ones I played(old 3 valves..)
I love the horn, its allowed me to qualify for state.
If i end up with scholarships on tuba I plan to either buy my own cerveny 681, or possibly a 691 or another model for a slight larger bell.. but im not sure..
I have never had a problem not producing enough volume for the bands but i would like to look into a larger bell for a nice deeper sound..
As far as range and all that. Im not a expert, but i've had no problems to speak of.
bottom line i love my horn, and i'd recomend it.. i mean its gotten me this far right?
if it matters, I play on a conn helleberg
