I dont know what these ppl have done to step up their quality of horns but all i can say is that im impressed, i hear the sound darker, then when i played on the Meinl 2145 and the Miraphone 1291, i've seen ppl ragging this horns but they've come along way, i know cause i played on one of the older modles and was just disgustied and when i was at the all state convention i picked one up at the Tuba Exchange booth and was really suprised so before you knock these horns try them, a lot of them are better now and i mean alot better.
