Alcohol can make your chops a little less sensitive, but not so much that control suffers (unless you're trashed). I highly recommend it, especially for concerts. The Weed allows you to play in a relaxed state, but you can also listen more deeply and concentrate on playing exactly how you want...a song and wind-type concept! Very good for practicing. The only problem is that during performances weed can make you nervous or worried about stupid things: counting, etc. I would recommend it for after the concert and 90% of your other practice sessions, esp. warming up. It can enhance your creativity, so I also recommend for jazz gigs. Just my personal opinions.
