Here at work....for a different department I played a joke and called up someone's phone and played "You are my Sunshine" on the tuba for the answering machine. He saved it, and it is that department's theme song now, being played (on the speaker phone, from the original saved "message") at every department meeting and occasion. Pick something people will recognize, something simple, and play it well. Most people have no idea what a tuba sounds like, and the vast majority will think it is really cool.
