I know that we have been discussing John Fletcher, but did you guys hear about Michael Kamen, very talented movie music composer (Pink Floyd's "The Wall" orchestrations, "Robin Hood Prince of Thieves", and more recently "Mr. Holland's Opus" and Metallica's "S&M")? He died very suddenly of a heart attack in November. He also, right before his death, wrote the great piece "Tribute" for the Canadian Brass. You hate to hear about such talents just slipping away.
