Hello,
When you say "what to play for college," and mean what to play for college auditions then I would recommend playing a couple of things. Having just gone through auditions for college two years ago I think I can make some decent recommendations. An overall standard rep list that I saw when auditioning was to prepare a Melodious Etude (Rochut), a Kopprasch Etude (or Blazevich), and two contrasting solos or solo movements from two different composers. It depends one what school you audition for. If the guidlines are too vague, I don't think it would hurt to make a phone call to the professor and ask what he/she might like to hear at the upcoming audition. Sometimes it can be helpful to speak with the professor prior to the audition (for you and him/her). Thats just a little bit of light on the matter, but I hope it helps in some way. Best of luck.

Sincerely,
Michael
