I like the 321 a lot! A TON of bang for the buck. I think Wes Jacobs still uses a modified 321 (5th piston valve side mounted) in the Det Symphony.

The 381 was a good horn as well (same a 321 plus a dependent 5th in the 4th loop). I've gotten used to an independent 5th, so the 381 is a little different. The new 321s are slightly tweaked from the old. I don't know all the poop, but I do like them a little better. Leadpipe placement is more comfortable, too.

The first tuba I ever owned was a beat up, red rotted 321 effer. Man, I miss that horn......
