I tinker around with BBb horns a little, but my primary horns are Eb. I use and old King monster bell-front for indoor Dixie, a Conn 28K sousa for outdoor Dixie, and a Miraphone 183-4 for most everything else. I don't feel as though I am limited by playing mostly Eb horns. I have several BBb horns including a great old German rotary but don't play it very much. I have another King monster (model 1235) for sale if you are interested in an Eb horn for Dixie. The old bell-fronts are frowned upon in modern orchestral settings but they were certainly the rage in the 30's & 40's.
