I just wanted to thank whoever it was who said they used and "upstream" to get the high notes cause their lips were bigger and it was more comfortable.
I had never even heard of that before, was having trouble, tried the "upstream", paused in happiness that I got the C, then kept playin just fine. Oh mu gosh. Why didn't anyone I've talked to ever suggest that before!!! Hours and hours of squeaks and frustrated lessons and nothing, then one suggestion on a message board and BAM! Geez. Oh well. Senior year I finally got it ^_^
This is one happy tuba player.
