I don't believe it is that remarkable, considering that the best students in the country will apply at North Texas in order to study with Mr. Bowman. It is the same scenario with Julliard students winning orchestral jobs. Those students were the creme of the crop simply by getting into the school. All of these students already had a work ethic that showed dedication and hard work, a combination that leads to success even without considering the teacher.
