I had a chance to play the Miraphone Euphs at the Midwest Conference and Roger Lewis from the Brasswind was in the Booth at the time.
He said that Miraphone has done a lot of work to their Euphs in the last 6 years, including coming out with an optional smaller grip alternative. I think he said it was called the Miraphone M5000 and it has the valve section bent in towards the horn. It is a very comfortable fit, and is priced the same as the regular 1258.
I thought it was the best Euphonium I've ever played. As soon as I find a buyer for my Willson, I'm after an M5000 for myself. Roger said that if it's been awhile since you have tested a Miraphone Euph, you should give it another shot. I'm glad that I did.
