I think that many of your points are well taken, but neither do I think that anybody asked anyone else to wring their hands about this. Personally, I'd like to have ALL the facts before deciding if the musicians themselves are partly or fully to blame. Regardless, it's not a happy situation, and perhaps that's all that need be said.
