Matt, thanks for the unique idea of tuba players talking about PLAYING. Talking about "what's wrong with AJ's tuba playin" and spelling is not doing anygood noway. Any of the dents in the comments below "does not affect playability"!

Are you going to wait half your life to become a good player?
Don’t be afraid to take time off- you usually forget the bad habits.

Buy the BEST tuba you can find. . . no matter what it takes!!!
Work some every day. . . work a lot at least every other day.
You’re never to old or smart to learn something.
Study with someone. . . if a tubist is not available. .. find a great musician.
Take a few comments from someone who’s not as good as you- you’d be surprised at what you’ll learn about you’re playing.

RECORD and work for excellence!
Make every note a music event!
and last of all: ya wanta sound like Rodger Bobo? go get your horn and get with it.
