During that time I found that my sound gradually became "smaller" and I started playing more tense. On those occasions that I did play CC tuba, it just didn't have the sonority that I remembered.

I still play F tuba nearly everyday, but only after I have been playing my big horn. Since returning to the CC for warm-ups and technical etudes, Rochut's, etc. I have found that I play the F much more relaxed, with a warmer sound, and with much more control of my air.

Even if I never performed on CC again (which isn't going to happen), I would still keep one around to use as a warm-up tool.
