Matt is most likely already at, or on his way to the Army conference and away from email. Even though Sven is in Sweden, Matt could certainly answer the question about the impact of smaller bore valves into larger bore tubing. Even so, I would suspect that it would be a waste to put an expensive valve set on this tuba. The resulting cost would probably exceed the cost of just buying another, better working, used tuba.
