I wonder . . . I've seen several otherwise good CC tubas that are just awful on the high A (same partial and fingering). Do Eb players have the same problem on high C and F players on high D?

My MW 25 from college would not speak a double high Bb no matter what fingering combinations were used, and I tried every possible combination of fingerings and slide pulls. I could play in tune on the A below it and the B above it, but couldn't get out the Bb for love or money. I think that every horn has at least one stinker note, no matter how expensive or well-made.
