Are you looking for digital output of the decoded (i.e. audio) signal, or digital output of the raw digital data on the source minidisc?

Lots of decks have the first, but if you want the second you would have to look at a VERY expensive deck to access the raw data.

Originally, Sony released minidisc as a storage medium also; if you had one of those drives you could probably manage to access the raw data on the disc.

Otherwise, a digital md to md copy actually decodes the source data into an audio signal, copies this uncompressed audio signal digitally to another device which then re-encodes it into compressed minidisc data. The end result is very good, but with successive generational copies you will probably experience signal corruption.
