I paid $500 for one about 2 years ago, advertised through a classified ad. It was in fine condition, but for the lacquer and the usual denting of the back large branch. In some sections of the country, this was a very popular school horn during the '60's, so they are out there. I still think that $850 for one with holes in it is a bit much, if one intends to have the thing fixed up to look nice.
