I echo Sean's comments. We have never been charged an "oversize" fee by an airline when using the WJ case.
One complaint: the wheels are narrowly set (i.e., they are close together) and the wide case can be a little unsteady in handling, especially if you prefer to "pull" the case behind you rather than pushing it. Other than that, WJ cases withstand the abuse in the baggage handling system extremely well. Very durable cases.
