Thanks to all of you guys for explaining what is "shill".
As for Hank's way of bidding, I can understand and respect this attitude, but in case of the countless low priced auction items, I can't understand those who start bidding - let's say - at 1 or 2 bucks on the first day. I really cannot find any sense in such behavior.
