Try out for an Air Force Band. I believe the one in Northern California is looking for a tubist. In the Air Force, you don't move around as much as the Army, and it will give you some time to just play and make money. They will pay $10,000 of your school loans.

You can always go back to college later, but if you are at the wrong school for what you want to do, and you can't go somewhere else, maybe getting a job and making a little $ isn't a bad thing.

If there is something other than music you are interested in, get a degree in that. Or get a Liberal Arts degree. You can always practice tuba on the side. Or how about a music ed degree? Don't spend money now you don't have and then wish you had spent that money somewhere else or on something else.
