Just wanted to let the folks down here in the bottom right hand corner know about a couple of things coming up.

I'll be performing the Vaughan Williams Concerto with the UGA Symphony Orchestra twice in the next couple of weeks: The first performance will be on January 23 at 4PM in Savannah at the Southern Division MENC convention. This shooud be a pretty good tuba day down there as Pat Sheridan will be performing later that day with the Ringold High School Band. The second performance of the Concerto will be on January 30 at 8PM in Athens. The rest of the orchestra's program is Beethoven Coriolan Overture and Brahms 4.

On January 31 at 5PM, Jason Koi will present his senior recital. It is a mother of a program (Bach-a minor partita, Nelson- Metallaphonic, Mahler- Songs of a Wayfarer, Gillingham- Diversive Elements). Jason was last year's winner of the Artist Division (AT)Falcone.

On March 2, Gene Pokorny will present a solo recital at 4PM to include the Stevens "Journey" and a couple of other tunes. The following day, Gene will give a chat on life in the orchestra and will conduct a masterclass. All of these events are free and the general public is very welcome.

If you have any questions or need directions, please feel free to drop me a note.
