Thanks for the advice re the gig bag! The slide thing makes sense too when you think about it, and like you, I have been leaving the top "in tune" and draining out of the bottom.

I know I said it in my previous post, but one of the things I am still amazed and really excited about is the Holtons flexibility/agility in spite of its size. I know the Cerveny 701 would be hopelessly lost in the Holst. I played through some Blazhevich studies today and #14 with the octave+ jumps for example, I can play cleanly at about twice the speed on the Holton, in fact as easily as my (now small-feeling) Mirafone.

Can hardly wait until tomorow...
