Now Thatīs really something Iīve been thinking and wondering about for years. For me personally experience seems to show (stating that with great caution!) that while not being faster or slower in response the bowl seems to be responding a fair bit easier than the funnel. Soundwise funnels appear to be a bit brighter, funnels a bit darker.
The combination of all that allways keeps getting me in trouble a bit, cause the bowl gets me the exact response I like, but for me sounds too woofy, the funnel on the other side produces the right sound, but gives me a hard time getting proper response in a pp dynamic...
Iīve even gooten as far as considering a mp for sound and mp-ff dynamics and another one for everything thatīs pp and softer...
