The Willson did take a lot more air than the VMI. The Willson I played at the time was very difficult for me to play and I think it was a lemon because I played one at DEG when I was trying out Eb tubas and the CC I played there took a lot of air but was much better than the first one I played at Brasswind. Based on the one I played at DEG I would consider the Willson CC above most others if I were in the market for a CC.
