I am currently a Freshman in a conservatory going for Tuba performance (and my Music Ed for back-up). I know that it is difficult to earn a living playing the tuba by word of mouth from ametures to professionals. Who here too went to a "top-notch" conservatory or respected University Tuba studio as a tuba performance major? What schools? What happened after that? How many auditions have you taken? What were they like? Who was there that won? Knowing that it will be what I will experience down the road, I thought it would be benificial to get a few heads up from people that are there already. Maybe I am not the only one that would like to hear the differnt situations...Well, thank you for you time and/or advice. Happy Holidays.
