I found the PT 44 to be pretty good with it ,but the Miraphone Rose Orchestra (TU25?) is really working well. I have noticed that the receiver takes in the Miraphone shank further than the PT's. don't know if this has anything to do with this or not.
Has anyone seen a non-standard leadpipe for these things(original press release claimed regular brass, red brass and nickel-silver were available) Also, has anyone had nylon valve guides retrofitted?
As for finish, I'm a sucker for satin and probably would have gone for it subconsciously anyway, but this one played the best of a group of 5, both by me and a friend. There were no lacquered 52j's there that day to compare to, so I can't say how they stack up. Has anyone seen this supposed "Satin-Lacquer"?
