No football at my school, so we don't change over as much from parade to parade. In the parade setting, we are limited to 1 selection, without any stop at some contests, to no stopping of forward progress longer than 30 seconds total at others, to full stop and play to the judjes at another. To help stop the confusion, I have to teach 2 differing parades sets at a time, a stop set and a moving set.

In my state, a pep band can not perform at quarter change or time outs. We are limited to between games and half time. As cheerleaders and other school programs get some of the half time/between game time, I am not allowed a large amount of time to play.

I also have to teach musical aspects as well in class. As I stated earlier, I teach a large spectrum of students in one setting. I would ask what grade student was involved in your high school band?

BTW< who is Hmmm?
