Actually, B&H does not own the York name. (neither did Nirschl) I checked on this with executives in the company as it would have been a great marketing coup for the company.
There has been a new factory in Markneukirchen for a few months now. It is a huge factory! Walter's facility in Geretsried (quite a small shop) will remain the shop where the hand made instruments will be produced as well as a R&D facility for product development.
