I was wondering if anybody had ever tried to make a euphonium mouthpiece based on the Helleberg design?
The reason I ask is that I recently saw an entire line of trombone mouthpieces (from tenor to bass) which was designed by scaling the tenor mouthpiece. The relative dimensions of the entire range was identical. They had simply found one good mouthpiece and scaled it to make different sizes. I tried some of them and their playing characteristica were very similar (except for the size difference of course).
