Yeah, they'd have to be longer, but only by about 12%. My York Master has two tuning slides on the first and third valves, so you could adjust the lower slide for the conversion, and still use the upper slide for normal tuning. The second slide wouldn't move much. The fourth slide is the only potential problem, but mine has about a foot of inner tubing, so you could pull it quite a ways before you ran out of it. Of course, you'd have to cut a hole in the chair if you pulled it TOO far.
