"sousaphones in special chairs" I think that's what our whole district started everybody on!! I was jealous of a lot of people because I had a sousaphone with a big RED bell, and everyone else had that "beautiful" totally white sousaphone! :o)
Then of course the Yamaha 103 in Middle. I had played that Conn as well, but not for long...I needed a phonebook to reach the mouthpipe on the 103! (I needed two phonebooks for the sousaphone when I started out!)
I don't need phonebooks anymore!! haha!
