I've heard the Gregson played with accompaniment by piano, orchestra, wind band, and brass band. It sounds best with the brass band, the tonal colors of that instrumentation really enhance the work. If you transpose all the parts to standard brass ensemble instrumentation you lose that sound. For what it's worth, I would save myself the time and just do it with piano unless you happen to have a decent brass band in your area.
