Exactly my thoughts. The only tubas with removable 'stuff' are marching horns where quality seems to be lacking, AND Kalisons.
I'm not trying to bash Kalisons, but every one I've played seems poorly made(maybe it's the screws) and the high range is really squirlly.
Ask your self; how many of these "tinker toy" horns have I played that actually sounded good? OR That I would actually buy...
