I've got a King Monster (recording bell) and it plays very well (one of the most in-tune BBbs I've ever played), string valves and all. Enormous sound. If memory serves, it was Bill Bell who coaxed Henderson White into producing the horn--in the middle of the Depression, yet.

Are there any other 20th century American-made rotary tubas?
