I personally wouldn't go for either of these horns, since they're both a little bit big for me (F horns for CC lovers). However, I would say that the Meinl-Weston has a warmer sound (especially in the low register), but the Yamaha is more free-blowing. I personally prefer the Meinl-Weston of the two, but that doesn't mean I'd necessarily recommend it over the Yamaha. It really comes down to this: what do you want to do with this tuba?
