I took an old style stand light and removed the standard lamp, and used velcro to attach a battery florescent light from Home Depot. Works well, and can be easily changed back to a regular plug in light. Draw backs are the light could be brighter (just enough but no more), and the stand light is just a bit tricky to get to hold in position (battery light weighs more than the electric). It has served be well for several years.
