You oil rotary valves???? Hell I haven't touched the valves of my Mirafone in over 4 years.

OK...when I have oiled them, I have always used Gunk brand SUPER OIL household oil that you buy from the grocery store. I have always preferred pressing the valve down half-way, so that neither port is open and the metal of the valve is exposed if you look down the tube, and then putting oil down the slide tube. Then I'll move the valves to disperse the oil. Also, be sure to take off the back valve cap and put oil between the valve and the bearing-plate (oil should go in the middle where the 2 notches are). Plus, oil the exposed moving parts on the top half of the valve system and the linkage.

This has worked really well for me, as I don't hardly ever oil my valves, yet they always work very smoothly.
